Treesort was one of the places that we considered staying if the class was going to be in G.P. Let me know if you ever decide to check it out-it looks really cool!

Thanks for stopping in!Dreamybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274518106482632672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029029834485250516.post-40507636069593458482008-10-13T18:45:00.000-10:002008-10-13T18:45:00.000-10:00Wow, this sounds really cool (and it's in our neck...Wow, this sounds really cool (and it's in our neck of the woods, too)! As far as sleeping in trees, there's a place called Treesort in Southern Oregon which seems more up my alley, though I haven't tried it yet--a resort full of treehouses you can sleep in.

This is what I love about participating in things like Weekly Geeks--follow a link for a First Lines contest, learn about tree climbing. :-)Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16745786643511417426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029029834485250516.post-11372659620139436582008-10-06T01:12:00.000-10:002008-10-06T01:12:00.000-10:00I've heard that sentiment from a lot of people sin...I've heard that sentiment from a lot of people since we've returned from our trip-I didn't realize quite how prevalent that fear is, I guess. I mean, I think everybody is afraid of heights to some degree (for some it's just that little rush of adrenaline when you're up somewhere high and you look down, for others it's incapacitating), I just didn't realize how many people would be prevented from doing something because of their fear.

I've heard of some people who have gone through this class in spite of (or perhaps because of) their fear of heights and came out much more confident and much less scared of heights, but it would sure be a drag if you didn't! All of that training that you wouldn't ever get to use on anything!

If you (you as in all y'all, I'm not singling out Heather here) ever did decide to give it a try though, know that you can totally go at your own pace. If all you want to do is ascend 5 feet and then hang out there for a while and come back down, that's cool. Maybe the next time you go 8 feet...then 10...then 12...or maybe 8 again! And the sleeping in trees thing is completely optional-nobody's going to drag you up there against your will. For me, that was the highlight of the trip, but I could see where that could be a deal-breaker for somebody else.

Anyway, I'm not trying to talk anybody out of their fears-I know it doesn't work that way, believe me! I just wanted to add some food for thought (because, you know, my original post wasn't quite long enough on its own!)Dreamybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274518106482632672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029029834485250516.post-9765633787289264062008-10-03T04:26:00.000-10:002008-10-03T04:26:00.000-10:00I had to skim this since I'm really busy at work, ...I had to skim this since I'm really busy at work, but this looks fabulous! What an amazing experience. Not for me though ... I'm happy to camp out in the woods with no bathrooms, etc. but don't put me anywhere high up - I'd be so scared I wouldn't be able to move!Heather J. @ TLC Book Tourshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474181812740579350noreply@blogger.com
