Woohoo! That's 5 out of my 6. Is it cool if I just go ahead and take credit for that?

Dreamybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274518106482632672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029029834485250516.post-18322419784167501262012-11-06T15:42:12.638-10:002012-11-06T15:42:12.638-10:00I'm glad I could lengthen your post. :)
I'...I'm glad I could lengthen your post. :)

I'm watching the election coverage now and see that Mourdock is winning in Indiana!?Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03125852166745378716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7029029834485250516.post-9131952415626520522012-11-05T23:03:13.590-10:002012-11-05T23:03:13.590-10:00Mike-I actually have you to thank for bringing Joe...Mike-I actually have you to thank for bringing Joe Walsh to light. He wasn't on my radar until you tweeted something about him a while back. So, it's partly your fault this post was so long! ;)

Wendy-I know, I'm nervous about Tuesday too. I feel like the Republicans' basic policy is: Let corporations have as much free rein to do whatever they want and limit as many individual freedoms as possible while legislating religion into as many places as possible.

I guess I haven't been totally surprised by the people that I was finding out were Republican-the people we know from the military, a Mormon friend, etc.-but what surprised me the most is that almost everybody who liked Romney was a woman. Women had to fight so hard to get the right to express their own opinions, make their own choices based on what they felt was best for them, separate from their husbands or fathers, that I can't believe there are women out there who are willing to take those choices away or limit those choices for other people.

That stinks that you might have lost a relationship over political stuff. :( I have to admit putting all this out there on FB scared the crap out of me because I do have some pretty religious friends that I was worried about scaring off. Also, most people who know me IRL don't know that I have a blog, so this was like, Hey, everybody, I want to show you my blog...and tell you why I disagree with your political views. Eeeeee! To be honest, I have never been surprised by any republicans I have met. I have honestly never met one that I liked. maybe coincidence. maybe i just tend towards people who are similar to me and that goes with liberal views. I did meet someone I actually really like who is a romney supporter and I think about it every day trying to make sense of it. Another interesting this is that I have a very important professional relationship with someone and I think she's blowing me off suddenly and it's GOT to be b/c I've posted a few political things on FB. I'm so sad about it. I'm so incredibly nervous about Tuesday. Let me say that if Joe Walsh wins, I'd consider moving. It's not only his stance on abortion, there's been other things that hasn't gotten much press in the past. I don't think he'll win, but you never know.

Right now our house is surrounded by Romney and Walsh signs and we feel like we should have big signs out front, too but, like you said, people can vote for who they like. But really, I think too many people vote based on party, or because of family rather than what they really want.

I could go on for hours, but yes, vote. And please think about what the candidates are really saying. No candidate in any election is going to have it easy this year, that's for sure.

Oh, I see a lot of the 'likes' and am surprised by them too.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03125852166745378716noreply@blogger.com
