The End is Near

End of the Read-a-Thon that is! Everybody who participated this time around is a rock star! I have been trying to visit as many blogs as I can to cheer people on, and that's no easy task-there are a lot of you out there! Great job everyone!

Eva has asked for a wrap-up post for everyone to give their input on the read-a-thon. After visiting lots of blogs and seeing what everyone is eating, I think the only suggestion I would make is that next time someone post a list of healthy snack ideas/recipes ahead of time. LOL! Let's face it people, a case of diet soda, a pound of jerky, and endless varieties of chips all mixed with endless rounds of coffee can't be good for us!

Seriously though, I think this was a great event, and I had a lot of fun visiting everyone's blogs. In fact, I'm gonna go now because I've still got 20 minutes to try to visit everyone on my list!

oops!!! I think I had the most junk and greasy food in the entire readathon participants :)

I'll try and change that next time.

LOL @ your concern over junk food! Dewey always gave the same advice. :D

Violet-Hey, I'm not judging! Whatever gets you through the event. :)

Eva-I guess in some ways it's good to know that some things haven't changed!

I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself. I think you're right about the junk food though. People started crashing last night!

Thanks for cheering me on :) I really appreciated it.
I will admit that I did not realize until around lunchtime that most of my snacks/meals involved some kind of cheese! Definitely good snack recipes would be appreciated for next time. Great idea@

Did you feel your time zone helped, or hurt you. Must have been 2am or so. Right?

Vasilly-That's the problem with the junk food, the big crash at the end. Otherwise, I'm all in favor!

Michelle-I did have fun! It's so cool that you and your husband read for a charity!

Carrie-Yes it was, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

lyingpeacefully-You're welcome! I'm glad you had fun.

staceybuckeye-Cheese is always a good snack! I'm pretty sure I would not be able to make it through a read-a-thon without any.

Mike-Yes, 2AM start and end time for me. I tend to be a bit of a night owl, so it worked out well for me. I was able to cover the beginning and the end of the read-a-thon, which tended to be the hours when people were either not up and moving around yet or dropping like flies, although I do feel like I missed out on some of the main events.

Good for us? As long as it keeps the belly full!

Ronnica-If you spread it out over 3 days you can eat whatever you want during the read-a-thon! ;)

You're so right about the snacks. I didn't watch myself in this area and should plan to be better next time.

Thanks for visiting me, too!

Buckeye Girl-Happy to do it!

3m.michelle-LOL-Now I'm starting to feel like the snack police! I love your blog layout, and your Twitter "follow me" avatar is one of the cutest ones I've seen!
