Summertiiiime and the Liming is Eeeasy

You may recall that I last reported on the activities in my yard, which included a rather severe pruning of my lime tree. Well, severe in the parts that I could reach, anyway. The rest of it is still severely out of control. Anyway. The point is, look at what it's been dropping lately! These are two different limes that I've gathered in the last three days. OK, I'm cheating a little bit and measuring them long-ways, but still. Come on. Take a look at the limes in your grocery store the next time you're there, and I think you'll agree that, long-ways or short-ways, these are big limes!

I had another one close to this size that I got about two-and-a-half weeks ago, but I didn't document it. I know, I know--some people have fish stories, I have lime stories. Seriously though, you should have seen it! It was THIIIIS BIG!

Are you sure it's a lime? Not some sort of grapefruit? :)

Yes. Besides, I'm much happier thinking that it's an overachieving lime tree than a sad little grapefruit tree! :)

Ok--that is unbelievable!! It's seriously almost as big as my biceps. Margaritas in the future? ;)

Trish-Yes, these make great margaritas! I can get between a quarter- and a half-a-cup of juice out of these suckers! Limeade is a great one too--nice and refreshing and I can slam one in the middle of the day and remain productive. :)

You have me craving a gin and tonic.

Care-They make great gin & tonics (or, the way my husband makes them, limeades with a splash of gin-seriously, he puts half a lime in each of his)!
