At one French cafe (out of the 40 we went to this June) we did get a bowl of peanut/oyster cracker mix with our wine!

HA, good one. In our case, the cheese would be those pre sliced cuts that fit exactly on the trisquit. Whoever came up with that idea is brilliant! :-)Frances
