Expiration dates: Not always there just for appearances

You know how sometimes you open the fridge, stand there staring at all its contents for a couple minutes, think, "Wow! Something in there has got. to. go!" then you close the fridge back up, shuffle over to your cupboard, open it up and stare at its contents for a few more seconds before shuffling back over to the couch in defeat to continue watching Oprah?

Well, here's a tip. 3 or 4 days later, when you DO finally get around to cleaning out the fridge, and you've smelled the questionable spaghetti and decided that that's not what stinks and have smelled the fuzzy black beans and decided that THAT'S not what stinks and you are staring at the contents of your fridge wondering WHAT IN THE HELL IS THAT??? and you spy the carton of half-and-half that expired on April 11, and as you're reaching for it, you know in your heart of hearts that that's what stinks, there is no need to open it up to confirm that THAT is what stinks. I'm just sayin'.

Um, yeah. I think the same thing about people who say "I think this is spoiled, do you? and wave it towards my nose.

Jeanne-LOL, "Ugh, this is nasty, smell it." Guilty

Serena-And guilty again. I didn't realize that this post read like I was making fun of other people when it was totally me that did it. LOL. Maybe it's better that way!
