I suppose it is. I know some people HATE traffic, and just get bent every time they have to drive anywhere. I don't enjoy it, but it is what it is. The traffic's going to be there, you're going to get stuck in it. Might as well put on some good music, listen to a funny podcast, and enjoy the view. Granted, having a view to enjoy makes that last part much easier, and, as you pointed out, I am pretty lucky in that regard!
Yes, traffic on O'ahu is bad. The day I took this picture we were stopped for road work, so it isn't always backed up like that up and down the coast, but in town, it gets bad. I've only driven in L.A. a couple of times, but I'd venture to say that Honolulu traffic is on par with L.A. traffic, if not worse; ours just isn't on as large a scale.
Ali-Thanks! I do too, actually. It was one of those things where I was sitting there looking out at the ocean thinking, Ahhhh... and then I'd look down in my mirror and think, Ugh! and I realized what a great commentary that was on so many things in life. LOL.
